Artbigisland is the home of artist Stan Chraminski. I am a prior Signature member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists, and former member and President of Evergreen Association of Fine Arts, doing business as Albion Arts. I hope you enjoy the images presented.

I moved to Kailua Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2015 so specialize in local Plein Air, or outdoor painted scenes to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and weather. You can contact me at email: stanski@twc.com.

We have a painting group, West Hawaii Plein Air painters. I've volunteered to take over scheduling and keeping the group active. I've added the Plein Air Painting Schedule page above to show where we will be meeting and painting as we move forward. We also have a Facebook group under Paintingoutthere that shows the schedule under the Events tab and I post the results of each week's paintout.

My local landscape artwork can be seen and purchased at Blue Sea Artisans Gallery in the Keauhou Shopping Center. 78-6831 Ali'i Drive, Kailua Kona. 808-329-8000. We are now open regular hours, 10-6 PM every day except Saturday (9-6), and Sunday (11-2). Stop by to see some great art and crafts.

I'm also online now at Amazon.com with my updated third edition book "Painting West Hawaii." I've added a bonus section with east and south side paintings and sunsets. Just search by my name and the book will come up to purchase at $25 with Prime free shipping for Prime members.  I have copies for sale at the Blue Sea Artisans Gallery.

My second small art book, "Abstract Art", is now also available on Amazon.com. It's a collection of the various types of abstract art I've painted over the years. plus my processes and inspirations. Just follow instructions above to purchase a copy. I've also included an abstract art gallery under the link Artist's Statement and more above.

Art Links above includes pages with Art Webites I like and follow. Also, I have a Lessons link where I've started posting art tips, including the plein air painting process, and studio tips.

Work similar to the work in my Hawaii Works section is available and you can contact me about these. Most are sold via the Blue Sea Artisans Gallery. Other work can be purchased by contacting me directly.

You can see my blog at www.albionarts.blogspot.com linked below. This shows work and comments over the past several years and is updated regularly so shows much of my latest work. Feel free to add comments there or in the contact section of this website. The latest works shown are also for sale.

I welcome commissions of any of my styles of work. I'm happy to work with your photos or images until we get a work you love. The rates for my work run about $2 per square inch with larger work somewhat less.
